Gather Beautifully
John and Linda have lived and worked in Leavenworth for over 40 years.
The wood used to make these one of a kind boards is local. Each board is different, creating a unique, custom, one of a kind style.
Our boards come in all sizes from small to very large! We can even include handles for easy transport.
The majority of our boards are made from Kansas native Black Walnut.
They are milled and dried for an extended period of time - usually 4-6 weeks.
They are sanded and finished with a food grade hard wax oil.
All our wood is locally sourced within a 20 mile radius of our home. The majority is native Black Walnut. Other types include Black Cherry, Oak, Honeylocust, and Hackberry.
The wood is milled, kiln dried, planed, and sanded multiple times with several different grades of sandpaper to give an extraordinarily fine finish.
Each board is finished with an imported food grade hard wax oil. This process is repeated several times. The hard wax oil makes the board moisture resistant and easy to care for!
Use your board to serve groups large or small.
